An HD Television system yields a better, sharper and clear image than the normal television because of the higher resolution it is having (a measure of image sharpness). The broadcasting signals are send in a digital form (in 0’s and 1’s for the HDTV system) making it impervious to signal loss or interference. This ensures the high image quality an HDTV system is capable of achieving. Of perhaps greater importance, digital television sets will potentially be able to send, store, and manipulate images as well as receive them, thereby merging the functions of the television set and the computer. |
